The surroundings

The area offers many different actiivities according to the interests and the time you have to spend on holiday.
It is the ideal place to go for long walks, mountain cycling or horse riding following the marked paths or going by car, motorbike or bicycle along winding roads surrounded by postcard landscapes leading to villages, castles, spas and historical and art towns. Pienza (7 Km), San Quirico (2 Km), Montepulciano ( 20 Km), Montalcino (16 Km) are among the most famous art towns of the area but other several ancient villages scattered in the country are worth a visit: Castiglione d'Orcia, Rocca d'Orcia, Vignoni, Monticchiello, Contignano, Radicofani, Castelmuzio, Petroio.

At 3 km you will find the old, renowned spa waters of Bagno Vignoni, a place rich in thermal waters with the ancient bath in the middle of the village.
Important abbeys and country churches are spread in the area: Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Sant'Antimo, Sant'Anna in Camprena, la Pieve di Corsignano.

Siena is only at 40 Km and in about an hour you can reach Florence, Perugia or La Maremma and the seaside.
